To date, this is the largest 3D project I have tackled. It involved roughly 20 hours of 3D modeling, texturing, painting, animation, lighting, rendering, and compositing to bring this three second clip to life.
Totally worth it, right? Projects like these are fun because, as mentioned, I got to test the waters of nearly every aspect of 3D workflow. I also saw many ways that the pipeline could break down if previous steps is not executed well - an errant n-gon can make the texture painters job a nightmare.
